Thank you 😊 I was asked some general questions, why I want to be a LD nurse, what are my qualities, what does the course involve? But the main question I was asked was, I have to take a patient to dentist, they're scared and afraid, what kind of things would I do leading up to it to ease them? Hope this helps.

Hiya. I was just wondering if anyone has offers from Coventry university for learning disability nursing? I've decided to choose it as my firm choice.

That helps a lot thanks a mil
Hey guys, I was wondering is there anywhere I could find news and updates about LD nursing in the UK, I've no good source and if I were to be asked about anything in an interview I wouldn't know where to start..I've tried the NHS website but I could only find information about LD nursing as a career..I'm not in the U.K so newspapers aren't really an option :/

Hi, have you tried looking on BBC news/health website. I prefer to look on there sometimes, then the information I find I do extra research to back up findings

Ah that's great, thanks a million! :biggrin:Was finding it difficult to find resources...Do you think I would be best off looking at the NHS in general or concentrating mainly on LD nursing?

You're welcome ☺️ you could look up either, I tried to find something really fresh and interesting for my interview, that way I was able to show that although I am interested in a career in LD I was able to adapt to other areas in the nursing profession.

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any pointers for the group interviews, I really don't know what to expect, what sort of things do you talk about? The only thing I can guess is news, but I can't really find anything. Starting to panic...

I HATE WAITINGG!!! Glad everyone on here have heard or had interviews and thats all I wanted to check when I found this thread. Seems like the universities in the north west are taking foreverrrrrrrr and im too impatient! My UCAS app was finally sent just before Christmas as my college tutor took 6 weeks to do my reference. So was wondering if anyone who applied just before Christmas has heard from:- Chester, Edge Hill, Banger, Wolverhampton and Birmingham?

Hi, I applied to Edge Hill and Bangor too. I sent my application off the beginning of Dec too, I haven't heard anything back from Bangor at all. However I have heard from Edge Hill they offered me an interview just before Christmas. Hope you hear back soon! best of luck

Hi guys. What have yous been wearing to your interviews? This sounds a bit silly but I don't want to go too casual or too dressed up.
I finally heard back from one of my universities (York) has anyone else applied for York and if so been invited for an interview on March 13th?

Have you been given a time to be there for? York is not one of my top options so I'm going to have to do a lot of thinking and research on traveling expenses etc before I confirm to them I'm going  good luck for your interview!

No not got a time, they send the information through the post and the time is on that. It's my 4th choice but I will definitely be going. Thank you and good luck with yours if you go.
