Should I be revising for my GCSEs over the Xmas holiday?

I kinda have nothing else to do...

I don't see anything wrong with a little revision over the holidays...why is it so bad? :dontknow:

Because it's completely unnecessary. Do it if you want, but there is no need.
I really don't think there's a point. Yes, you could, but most people are absolutely fine with starting around Easter time. The last thing you want is to burn yourself out before it really matters.

I guess I understand what you mean - I'm the type that will do a little everyday to stop myself from falling out of the habit and trying to get my gears back on when school starts.

Start minimal if you're going to, then hardcore revision from Easter. I started revising in the middle of November as I'm predicted mostly B's and want to secure A's - I spend a lot of time revising naturally when I get started though. But I'm taking a break for Christmas, there's no point overworking myself at a time when I should be happy!
