Poll

Are my target grades.......

Hi all,

I am currently in year 11 and my mocks are in two weeks. My recent report was quite frankly annoying but I had some personal issues that really seriously affected my attendance and attainment. It is definitely time to grow my grades.

For A-Levels I plan to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics or if I can get back on track possibly Maths instead.

My GCSE subjects are

English Language (AQA)😞 What the actual ****? Really needs a lot of work.
Current: 4. Predicted: 5. Target: 7+
English Literature (AQA) 😊 This is a freak of nature, I don't like English Lit.
C: 7. P: 8. T: 7+
Physics (AQA)🤬 Only 1 Grade for the Sciences but still frustrating.
C: 7. P: 7. T: 8+
Chemistry (AQA)🤬
C: 7. P: 7. T: 8+
Biology (AQA)🤬
C: 7. P: 7. T: 8+
Maths (AQA)😫 This is completely unacceptable
C: 5. P: 6. T: 7+
Music (AQA) 🤷*♀️ Not really enjoying Music
C: 5. P: 5. T: 7+
Spanish (EDEXCEL) 😊 Surprised myself with this one
C: 6. P: 7+ T: 7+
Design Technology (AQA)😭 Regret this life choice!
C: 4. P: 5. T: 7+

Only one subject is where I need to be 🤗
Four I need to grow by 1 Grade
Two by 2 Grades
Two by 3 GRADES (Only GOD can help me with DT🙏)

I feel like my target grades are possible because previous to this train wreck my current grades were looking pretty decent
English Lit 9, Science(s) 9's, Spanish 8, Maths 7+, Music 7 and Design Tech 7 and English Lang 6, I have also done my GCSE RE and got a 8.

I can only study on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays as I have after school commitments but I will be attending interventions after school 4 times a week.

I worked out I have 27 hours of available time a week, I have to include dailies (eat, chores, bathe etc..), Relax, Homework, Socialise and Revise. I am hoping a bit of accountability will keep me motivated and any tips for English Language and Design Tech will be gratefully received.

Thank you.

Starting off today by attending Homework club, probably do some Maths.

I went to Science Intervention last week but I was confident in the material, I think it was aimed more for double sciences students.

Going to try and do some Music while commuting but highly doubt that will go well.

Yesterday I managed to get some Maths and Spanish done. I had a ridiculous amount of English homework so did not go to bed until midnight.

I have DT intervention today and hoping to do some Physics. I am going to try and do English and Maths on alternating days as I really need to make sure these grades improve significantly, however I did so much English yesterday I am giving myself a day off.

My mock exams start in little over a week, not sure how I feel at the moment so I am just going to say apprehensive.

Huge incentive, I got a conditional place at my first choice sixth form. Now to get the grades...

Probably not going to get anything done today as I have Competition all weekend but will get back into routine on Monday.
Heyyy
If your grades aren’t usually as low as in your recent report then I think your target grades are completely achievable and I think your dedication is amazing. I could never

Thank you for the support, much appreciated.
Unfortunately life happens and had to deal with an extremely traumatic experience. I have to just get focused and learn to stick with revision and not get distracted when dealing with the subjects I dislike. Also to increase my study times.

On Sunday managed to do a maths past paper for 45 minutes while waiting for awards.

Been to Maths, Music and Design Technology invention this and am doing 5 a day Corbett Maths every day.

Had my Spanish speaking Mock and on Monday 😭.

Had my Maths mock this morning and Biology this afternoon.

Revised Spanish, English Literature, Biology and Maths this week.

Not a bad week but should could be better....definitely going to be interesting to see how I manage fitting in all my revision during mocks.

So haven't been on for about a week, my mocks were a bit of a shock, we will be getting the results on the 16th January I believe was the date so we will see.

Xmas is going to be a quiet one, not really a celebratory atmosphere right now but after mocks Xmas dinner will be a great treat.

Hope everyone has a safe Xmas and it is enjoyed by all.
