Hey guys, I am doing my coursework on thyroid cancer and I need help in completing one of the requirements. So, I need to identify at least two implications (ethical, social, economic or environmental) in using surgery as a method to treat thyroid cancer. It would be great if anyone has any ideas, thanks!
What do you think the effect on thyroid function that having part of your thyroid chopped out has? What's the rate of complications like for partial thyroidectomy (chopping a bit out)? What's the expense like vs. other treatment methods? Experience of undergoing surgery vs. experience of other treatment methods?
