they may not be far-left.. but they are national socialists.

Not really socialists though are they?
They want to dismantle the NHS, that is the complete opposite of a Socialist policy.

The BNP is wholly committed to a free, fully funded National Health Service for all British citizens.

“Marketisation,” and particularly the Conservative-created Private Finance Initiative (PFI) schemes imposed by Gordon Brown, has been a disaster which is saddling Trusts and the taxpayer with enormous debts. We totally reject this attempt to turn the nation’s health service into a private profit centre for giant corporations.

Apologies, I thought far-left was based on equality.

No left wing does not mean equality. It means you are economically supportive of left wing socialist economic ideaology, such as increasing government control over industry. For example nationalisation.

TSR seems be to full of far right loonies, as has happened with a lot of other social media recently. I suspect the UKIP brigade and co are seeking to whip up hysteria in the year prior to the elections, brainwashing the moronic masses into a fear of Islam and immigration.

Just take a look at the BBC comments section, a traditionally left wing paper. The Far Right conglomerate have arrived, and berate anyone who disagrees with their 'traditional', 'Christian' and 'Patriotic' values.

Not at all. It's just a very small but rather vocal minority who also seem to have multiple accounts to evade bans and are simply following instructions from far right websites to bombard forums etc with their crap.

I would personally argue the opposite - TSR has a large population of the far left.

Another wise TSR woman!! Alice gets it.

It is not extreme to call out the left for their Islamic extremism-coddling behaviour, their Orwellian political-correctness, their role in the disaster that has been mass-immigration, their inability to keep the country from bankruptcy, their blatant contempt for anything traditional, their nutcase feminism/green politics or their own violent 'anti-fascist' movement which is itself fascist.

I'm not exactly left wing, but what's wrong with green policies exactly?

There seems to be a large number of Social Liberals (a lot of people lose their liberalism when talking about Islam or Immigration though) but I think economically there are more Right-wingers than Left-wingers although it might just be that I notice Right-wingers more than Left-wingers because I'm Left Wing.

There are also quite a few people on this website who are far left. Although to be honest I am sick to death of seeing words like 'bigoted', 'racist' and 'scapegoating' associated with the centre to far right wing groups.

Yes, there are individuals from the BNP for example, who are extreme in their opinions. However, most BNP voters are ordinary people who look at the party's other policies, such as on education and the economy.

I do not support the BNP and would never vote for the party - but being patriotic is not something to be ashamed of.

You are right. NEVER be ashamed of being patriotic. Your country is after all your home, isn't it? I am amazed when I read a comment where the writer makes it a point to say they are not patriotic. I can't begin to understand that.

probably off topic, but I think there's a limit to patriotism; too much is not a good thing. I think people get carried away a bit with having pride for their country. Yes, you should have attachment to your home country, but it shouldn't be to the point where you would always defend your country, even if it's in the wrong. Many wars were started for the very reason of over-patriotism. People forget sometimes that their country is just a piece of land; you shouldn't feel overly proud to be born on a certain part of the Earth.
I'm not against patriotism. I just feel that people go a bit overboard sometimes.
that's my opinion anyway.
