Suitable A-levels for an economics degree?

Hi guys , i just wanted to know if these A-levels are suitable for an economics degree in the future. I personally want to do medicine but if i change my mind economics looks interesting.

My A-levels are : Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics

They're fine.
I go to college with someone who wants to do an economics degree, he studies History, Economics, Maths and Chemistry

Further maths (just AS or A2) may be useful for an economics degree at some unis, but only maths is required, so given that you want to do medicine what you've picked sounds like the best set of subjects to keep your options open to either medicine or economics.
An essay subject like history is sometimes useful and economics isn't compulsory.
