Dependent child

Hello - last year I applied as an independent and also for a grant as I have a dependent child. All fine and lovely - got the loan and grant then this July you decided I wasnt eligible and I now have to pay this grant back - great trying to get through Uni with a child and no money.

So applying again this year - I have had to apply again - all new paperwork to apply as independent and also for grant. Again you asked for birth certificate and child benefit letter, which was sent last year. But you are now saying this was not acceptable as it needs to show my name. Most child benefit letters only show the mothers name so how can i possible prove this?

I am getting to the point of thinking getting a degree is just not worth the financial hassle to be honest.

Any help gratefully received...

I cannot live on the loan alone as I cant possibly support my child and study too.
