are you trying to differentiate it or something... you didn't exactly state the question like the person above pointed out.

Oh ****, sorry I mean't I had to different this equation.


I got dy/dx = x^3/4x+2 + 3x^2(4x+2)

How do I simplify>

You differential is slightly wrong. There should be a 4 in front of that x^3. So it would be dy/dx= 4x^3/4x+2 + 3x^2(4x+2)
then you should only simplify it slightly to:

2x^3/2x+1 + 3x^2(4x+2) (What I did was divided the top and bottom by two)

Are you not missing the ln in the second bit?
