English Literature

Hey all
I am currently doing AS/A2 (combined) in English Literature and my distance learning tutor has asked me to read The Great Gatsby, do i read the entire book first or read a chapter make notes read the next chapter etc? Any advice?
I am doing the same  I am reading the book first, then I'm going to go over it again chapter by chapter
I will see how things go its just i got a really short term memory and find it difficult to remember bits in the chapters but as its a short book I am gonna give it a try.

I'm also doing distance learning English Literature. I'm now in A2. How did you find it? I did really bad in my exams and am struggling so much!
Personally, I would read the entire book first so you know what's going on, then retread it and make notes. I always read the books we were studying before we did them as you can use the first reading to just get to know the book, then the reread for class can be much more in depth and analytical.
I haven't yet done the exams for it
