Small fridges in Whitworth Park?

I called them up and asked whats their policy on having small fridges in your room, they said your not allowed unless medical use, since the fridge might overload the circuits in the accommodation. A fridge doesn't even consume that much electricity compared to a hairdryer or microwave. A television consumes more electricity then a fridge.

Is it worth sneaking in a fridge? Anyone here got fridges in their room?
Real reason is usually possible water damage - you're right about it not using much electricity

Canterbury Court where I stayed 2 years ago allowed them and even rented them out.

I lived there last year and my room never got searched for fridges or anything so I'm sure you could get away with it. But to be honest I dont see the point. Whats wrong with using the one in the kitchen? Surely it more sociable to use the shared rooms with your flatmates then just hiding in your room with a little fridge.
