Anyone here scared of death?

Beyond terrified. In fact, beyond terrified is an understatement.

I firmly believe that I will continue to exist post-mortem and that a new range of opportunities and adventures will be there for my choosing.

I see it as am I scared of not being born

I just sorta see it as just going to sleep but pretty much forever

Do you remember all of your dreams?

Well we're all gonna have to go some day

I think what's more scary is if after were dead we suddenly realise that there is a God. And that Heaven and Hell exist. That must be terrifying if you were an atheist.

But what about the people you leave behind?

I'm scared of dying now as I haven't done everything I want to do.

That's how life is unfortunately. It's one of the certainties in life. You WILL die at one point. For that reason, I don't see the point in being afraid of it

I mean, if someone held a gun up to me right now, Id probably be quite scared,but say tomorrow, I had a horrible crash (touch wood. let's not pre empt things considering Im driving 115 miles...) or I don't wake up or w/ever, that doesn't scare me, because we have to die one day

Id rather live till like 80 or w/ever, but if I was to drop dead tomorrow, that doesn't bother me

Only the method by which I might die. Not death itself.

I used to be, but now I just see it as an end to suffering :/

I probably wouldn't even be scared by the gun - I'd just wind him up
