UWE University Interview
Hello, I have received an email from UWE saying I am invited for an interview for Primary Education ages 5-11
I have been asked to do a 4 minute presentation. I have to bring a object/artefact and explain how it may subsequently be used and some of the reasons that you believe it to be useful in the engagement of learners.
So far I have thought of taking an inflatable globe, it can be made into a interactive lesson which in my experiences the children retain learn and engage more if the lesson is interactive. It links into a variety of key subjects Numeracy: Graphs, Maps and Co-ordinates. Literacy: Widening their skills on identifying explaining. Science: Looking at different environments and what might live in certain environments and not others.
Has anyone got advice / any suggestions on my suggestion so far. Or any other suggestions on what I could say or take.
