Question about A Level Applied ICT - May 2014 Exam

I've got a quick question from anyone who sat this paper. Did anyone find the marking to be extremely harsh?

I'm not sure if it's me just being butthurt since I got a poor grade, but the examiner marked me down for putting "Barcode Scanner" as my answer when the mark scheme said "Barcode Reader" and they seem to have done it throughout the paper on most questions.

I spoke to my teacher who seemed uninterested and just said "try again next time, it's not worth appealing".

How on earth was I supposed to know to write "reader" instead of "scanner"?
