4 years since Japan earthquake, tsunami and Fukushima nuclear accident

3.11 2011 catastrophic earthquake and tsunami hit Japan, followed by still ongoing nuclear accident and millions of people were affected.
A minute of silence would be greatly appreciated.

Worth watching the documentary series 'Pandoras promise.'

Did you know radiation levels are higher in Oxford than Fukishima and that a whopping 1 person has died from cancer who was involved in the disaster and the jury's still out if the disaster caused the cancer.

However, respect to those who lost their lives and their relatives.

If it helps the Japanese (are perceived to) have a more stoic and 'can't be helped' approach to mortality.
Call it the 'samurai spirit', centuries of Buddhism, whatever.

I'm not talking so I guess that's my minute of silence. Fortunately Japan is more than used to Earthquakes and tsunamis so they've got some of the best preparedness and response in the world to them.

That's true.
If the same scale of earthquake/tsunami happened in other countries the consequences would've been much worse - and it was bad enough with Japan
