Maths C2 Problem help?!

A normal sin(x) graph starts at (0,0). Hits the max (which is 1) at 90 degrees and goes back down to 0 at 180 degrees, -1 at 270 degrees and back to 0 at 360 degrees.
This graph appears to start at A(0,2). Furthermore, it first hits 0 at 45 degrees.
Think about it, compare it with the normal sin(x) graph.

And remember;

f(x+a)f(x+a) is a horizontal translation of a-a
f(x)+af(x)+a is a vertical translation of +a+a
f(ax)f(ax) is a horizontal stretch of scale factor 1a\dfrac{1}{a}
af(x)af(x) is a vertical stretch of scale factor aa
