The idea of anyone under 17 having sex just baffles me. Especially around 12-15... Why do young people want to rush into sex so badly? Like damn, yes sex is great but you can honestly wait. Peer pressure is so stupid as well. Wait for the right time and person. I have no sympathy for teenage pregnancies, STD's or heartbreak.

Peer pressure can't definitely be called 'stupid'. It can be seriously umm... pressurising. Take it from a 17 y.o. virgin. But, hey ChickenMadness says that you're a virgin... A bit more perceived?

I was 26. Anyone have a problem with that?

Naah, your choice...

I spoke with a woman once who admitted losing her V-card at the tender age of 11. She certainly regretted it. I see that age isn't even included in the "ideal" age range in the multiple choice poll above.

If choice was a factor it would have been a decade earlier. There is such a thing as involuntary celibacy.

The law is not on one's side there.

Peer pressure is stupid. Why do people feel the need to do things because other people are doing it? Do it when you want to, not when Bob and Jill do it.

Idk what you mean in your last bit? ChickenMadness was talking crap lol. A virgin can understand that sex is amazing, as if we don't hear people talking about how great it is.

As a general rule:

As far as number of past sexual partners goes: Boys lie up, girls lie down.

As far as the age one lost their virginity goes: Boys lie down, girls lie up.

Then on the other hand there are those who have no time for such petty games.

Really ? That's strange. From where I'm from , London, at high school people found it disgusting if people lost their virginity at 16. Im in sixth form and nobody wants to admit that they lost their virginity.I guess generation does change.

i read somewhere that londoners lose their v on average a year later than the rest of england aha dunno why (im from london too)

Well, when you're talking to your friends, suddenly a rude acquaintance marches up and says- here is 'The Virgin'. I know that they mean it as a joke but deep inside, its not funny. And then, people indulge in sex as some harmless fun, as it doesn't affect your health rather than drinking/smoking. And then, everyone knows that sex can be amazing, so since the 90s, sex imho has established itself as a kind of 'rite-of-passage'

What would happen if one slept with an escort?

As far I am aware, under English law that would be legal, however soliciting a prostitute is a criminal offence.

Then again, there are websites where escorts peddle their services. I can't say I am sure about their legal status, but it does look like a grey market area.

I'm 24 and too ashamed to act on my urges and desires. I couldn't even ask for a glass of water even if i was dying of thirst. Plus in school all my friends said that i'd never get a girl and would steal away any girl who ever liked me.

Now i can't even look at a beautiful woman without feeling ashamed and as small as a grain of sand. I'll come across as desperate for even daring to speak to a woman.

Your not the only one. I find women attractive but I feel guilty for thinking that.

17/18. Anything younger is just creepy. The idea of teens getting it on in their school uniform is the creepiest thing in the world.

And yet, they do.
