Why ask impossible questions? None of us know you.
You can if you understand the content of the syllabus and can apply it.

I think you can. doing past papers shows you holes in your knowledge, but you have to learn the sections you got wrong in your past paper

So you say "no" as well

I'm teaching myself maths and I very rarely do textbook questions. On track for an A. Obviously everyone's different though.

On the other hand, the less generic questions sometimes catch me out, and going through a textbook would definitely help. An example is this question from C2 January 2012 (Edexcel). I had to do a couple of practice questions to fully understand it (part ii).

Does anyone know what the 'R' stands for in the paper reference? I've found that AS edexcel maths past papers with the 'R' at the end of the paper reference have proven to be harder than those without the 'R'.

I say that I'm just doing past papers and then sorting out the stuff I got wrong
