Mentioned him considering we've been heavily linked to him.

2-4-3-1. Thats the new tactical revolution with overloads being formed on each side and nice triangles. GOAT formation for the GOAT philosophy and Louis van GOAT.

Inb4 that's basically 4-2-3-1 :unimpressed:

Tbh I would agree but I like Mata and that's the only formation that uses the setup properly with all the big players.

Sounds like wingbacks all over again :colonhash:

I like Mata but he's one-dimensional, no-one really plays his style no.10 anymore. 4-3-3 with two CMs breaking into the box is miles better imo, a lot more flexible, although we'll need 2 inside forwards who score a lot.

De Gea
Valencia, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw
Herrera, Carrick, Fellaini
Di Maria, Rooney, Depay

Need a RB, CB and CM. Keeper if De Gea leaves. With that top 4 would be safe and we'd be mounting a title challenge. We'd probably fall just short though, we're lacking the truly world class attacker that all the best sides have, so unless we pull something ridiculous off (or Di Maria comes good) I think we'll be a bit short.
