How are people lifting such heavy weights? :lolwut:

I weigh 49kg and like gosh, you're lifting a Dina.

I squat 15kg barbell, not including the bar and I struggle to pick it up. :erm:

Tots being srs.

How much do you cost. I'll feed you and get you up to 100 kgs and start lifting you and get DENCH af.

i`m just a relative beginner, and there are people on here with way more experience, but i`ve gone for dumbells, as they won`t cave in the floor of my home with their weight.

BUT, dumbells - or so i`ve heard - are not practicable the more weight you want, since separately they`re almost impossible to lift the heavier they get.

That`s what i`ve heard.

I use a barbell for deadlifts/squats and for their versatility, and the fact that i`m a beginner, the safety and control aspect, i use dumbells for the rest.

Undoubtedly there are people on here with way more experience who can offer different points, but i just thogh i`d chip in...

You can do more with the dumbbells and they're easier to store, so definitely get those.

I'm assuming you've got a bench at home too? No problem doing tricep exercises with the dumbbells, just get creative.
To do a proper routine, you need a rack, a bench, a bar and about 150kg of weight split into a few 20s some 10s, 5s and 2.5s to start.

Dumbbell work is great for upper body, but no one is getting big legs of DB squats

I used the "not being a 49kg woman method." IMO it's the best, most tried and tested way to get strong after Westside.

Thanks for your response.

I'm not interested in legs as such because I'm quite short and stocky with pretty chunky legs as it is. It's the shoulders arms and chest I'm mainly focused on really..

I'm saying that the reason people are stronger than you is because you're a 49 kg woman and they're not.
