How much should one study to pass?

I am homeschooling. I know that it changes for different subjects and different people and different schools etc so feel free to compare media to further maths etc
In my opinion (for ONE FULL current A level over 2 years):
A* requires around 900 hours of total studying
A 800 hours
B 700
C 600
D 500
E 450
No grade: <400

B = 700 hours in 730 days = just under one hour per day on each subject (including weekends, no holidays, no slacking)

I think study style / schooling / home studying really affects how the hours are spent so I know there will be mixed opinions!

For media -100 hours including coursework! For maths +150, in comparison to what I put.

It's subjective. You can't really put a fixed number of hours required in order to get an A*.

It's obvious though that an A* star in maths will probably require more hours than an A* in media studies.
