Should schools/sixth forms have lessons on consent?

This is an issue that's been making the rounds in recent years. Should schools and sixth forms have lessons on consent which center around teaching people what it is and so on. From my vague memory around sex education, teachers are hesitant about delving into matters about rape and consent, though this was nearly ten years ago now, so maybe the parameters around what is spoken and is not has changed.

Oh, and I'm undecided on this before people start 'avin a go.

UK Rape Law:
(1) A person (A) commits an offence if—
(a) he intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person
(B) with his penis. (b) B does not consent to the penetration, and
(c) A does not reasonably believe that B consents.

no they can't. we have a misandrist rape definition.

If a person intentionally penetrates the ANUS then that person is a rapist. Boys may not have vaginas, but they definitely have anuses.
I feel like it'd be a waste of time tbh.

Yeah they can. It's just women can't rape based off that definition.

oh you're not honestly implying that *that* is rape, and not vaginal-rape.

'Men cannot be sexually assaulted' - False
Assault by penetration is when a person commits assault by penetration if he intentionally penetrates the vagina or anus of another person with a part of the body or anything else, without their consent. The perpetrator can be male or female, and so can the victim.

May I suggest you arrange an appointment with Specsavers.
