The one that got away... to contact or just try to move on?

I feel like my relationships since have failed partly because I've never had any closure with him. He's still studying miles from my home town. When I'm home during the summer I'm always hoping I'll bump into him, but never do. He did have a girlfriend for a bit, but it doesn't look like they're still together.

I know I NEED to move on... but I have thought about casually messaging him, asking how he is etc. Although I think that would be kind of out of the blue, and a bit obvious why I was messaging :colondollar:

Urgh, I feel so pathetic. Help!

I think you'd be fine to message him like that. Guys often find it difficult to see the obvious, chances are he might think nothing of it.Even if he did, would it really be a bad thing? I'd say just try and see what happens.
