Doing the GDL in Birmingham?

Hey is anyone hear planning on doing the GDL in Birmingham (BPP or UoL)? I'm wondering what's the best plan for accommodation.

The student houses in Selly Oak etc are obviously really convenient for Birmingham uni but much less so for BPP or UoL in the centre...
does anyone know where people taking the course usually live? (Private halls nearer the centre?)
