Parental Contribution

Hi,

I received the minimum from student finance and my parents were expect to contribute a fair amount but they give me nothing. It seems I am in a worse position than anyone! Do most people get money from their parents?

Your parents are expected to contribute and if they won't you have to get a part time job.

I work 3 jobs (around 30 during term time) and 60 during the summer and I manage...As long as your rents covered the rest can be sorted out... It's easier to find £30 to get food rather than thousands for accommodation.

Also maybe have a look at student overdrafts? That might be a solution.

I'm not too sure what to say, i'm in a similar solution of getting minimum loan but my parents give me £200 a month..
