I'm reapplying for the same courses I did last year and I was just wondering if my statement letter for this year's application will be compared to other statement letters from previous years.
In other words, will the copy catch system detect similarities with my previous statement?

Yes, it will be flagged up as plagiarised, but then matched up to your previous application so that they can see it is yours.
