Has anybody else been invited to interview for Chinese? I wasn't really expecting an interview from the UoM.
Well I haven't been invited for an interview but when I went to the open day they said that although they interview for Chinese it isn't too intensive , mainly just a general 15 minute chat about why you want to to Chinese studies. You should be fine for the most part

For my course at manchester, I've been told that the actual interview is only 15mins long but the whole day runs from 1pm-4pm. They do a presentation and show you around the university. I also have a calculations assessment

Applied for BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering
IGCSE: 6A* 1A 1B(in 1st lang. English lol)
AS-level: AAAA (Maths, bio, chem, phy)
A2(predicted): A*A*A*A*
Offers: got my offer as AAB as well as a score of 6 in IELTS (i'm a bit confused though...i did 1st language english and met their requirements, so i don't need IELTS right?)

Submitted my application last Saturday and got an offer for ABB. Making Manchester my first choice.

I received an offer today to study Civil and Structural Engineering at AAA. Didn't have an interview and didn't receive an acknowledgment email. Sent my application off on 19th October
What other uni's did you apply to?
I'm also doing Civil Engineering and applying to Queen's Belfast, University of Liverpool, University of Nottingham, University of Birmingam and University of Aberdeen.
Predicted AAB but didn't apply to Manchester as I thought they wouldn't offer me as my AS grades were ACC
Do you know if the Civil Engineering course is competitive at UoM?

I decided confirm Manchester as firm choice. And you?I haven't sent off my applications yet; however I personally called Manchester and Birmingham and they said based off my grades they would send me offers. Bath, on the other hand, it depends on the competition
