i just got my ucat and ive gotten much lower than i thought i would; i'd been averaging just over 2700 in mocks, and then in the real thing i flopped AR and got 530 when id been been getting 700. overall i got 2590 band 2. i got 3 8's and 8 9's at GCSE and i've been told that my personal statement (so far) is looking good. ive got relevant work experience, and i volunteer at my local hospital. ive also been involved in various leadership roles at school, aswell as being head girl currently. i will be applying to queen's belfast, and cardiff as i know they weigh ucat less heavily, but i'm unsure of where to apply to for my other 2 options? i was considering manchester before getting ucat results, but i think my score is too low now? should i still apply aspirationally or is that just really stupid from me? i am not opposed to retrying next year after taking a gap year so would that be wise? i was also looking at foundation medicine courses, so would applying to foundation med at manchester be a better idea? this has turned into a rant for no reason so i do apologise
