Basketball in east London
In this community, football dominates massively and hardly anyone plays any other sport. As basketball is something I was always was interested in, I couldn't play as I had no-one to play with. All the other kids would just think I am crazy for wanting to slam dunk instead of scoring with an over-head kick. In America, they have the NBA which is well loved by the Americans but the UK has a basketball league which is not as hyped about. So why doesn't anyone play basketball in the UK and why does no one have a passion for it?
You kidding right? In east London, basketball is big. I see many kids who play and end up in the NBA. It’s not as big as football or athletics but it is still kinda big.
