My daughter has taken accommodation in Mary Sturge but has decided it is not for her. She’s pretty distressed! She stayed only 1 night. Will I be able to cancel?

Sorry to hear that,

All accommodation on campus isn't University owned and is owned by Unite Students. I would suggest your daughter contact them directly in regards to her accommodation contract, there may be a period in which accommodation can be cancelled before being legally bound to the tenancy agreement.

Often I've seen students able to find someone else to replace them as a direct switch without subletting.

However, these policies may have changed since Unite have taken over and can only suggest dealing with the company directly.
