Studying help - revising from a textbook

Hello!

This may seem like a bit of a stupid question, but does anyone have tips on how to effectively revise from textbooks? My textbook is over 800 words long and I wanted to know if anyone had any advice on how to best tackle learning the information?

I know everyone learns differently, but any tips would be very helpful!! :biggrin:

stereotypeasian

don't just start reading from first chapter, start reading chapters in a random order, that way depending on the recency/primacy effect you might remember more
summarise chapters without looking at the textbook to check if you understood, if you don't understand possibly find youtube videos or someone to help you
make notes of key points as you go along
