BTEC Results

Hi guys, I am currently in my second year of my National Extended Diploma in Business and my predicted grades for this year are D* D* D*. Last year I achieved all distinctions in my units and I am just wondering if a BTEC limits my options of going to University. Does anyone know anything if you're still able to get into York University with a BTEC? Any information on this or what the University is like in general would be great. Thank you in advanced.

Hi, Uni of York second year here. It depends on the course but for business and management (BA) they accept a National Extended Diploma at DDD, and you're well over that! Link here: https://www.york.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/ba-business-management/#entry
If a uni says they accept BTECs, they absolutely do, so don't worry about that you've done really well so far!
Happy to answer any questions about York! I just had a google to check that the business school (think they call it management) is on my campus, campus east, so I could tell you about it, but it turns out the building work I saw last year is for the new management school! Info here- https://www.york.ac.uk/campus-investment/current/york-management-school/ As it says, the building is closer to campus east but a super easy walk- 5 minutes- from campus west so you could easily live on either. Goodricke college is closest but a very quiet vibe so you could live on the more sociable campus west if you fancied, you'd have the pick of the colleges :smile:
