Hi @exha_sarjad,

It is great to hear you are looking to study nursing or medicine in the future.

We can consider BTECs as part of the entry criteria for our nursing degrees. To join one of our BSc (Hons) Nursing degrees we currently look for 104-112 UCAS points. For someone with a BTEC Extended Diploma, this is typically the overall grade Distinction, Distinction, Merit.

Further information about our nursing degrees can be found here.

I hope this helps,

Hi,

At Swansea, Extended BTEC is considered to meet the entry requirement. Typically you would require a result of DDM - this is for the 3 branches of Nursing - Adult, Child and Mental Health.

Information on the various nursing degree options can be found here

Good luck in your decision making.

yes, most universities will allow BTECs (mainly applied science or health care) for nursing courses. you cannot get directly into medicine with a btec. you’d have to do a course like biochemistry, applied medical sciences etc and then pursue the medicine course.
