Hi, what are the chances of being able to do a Medicine degree after a year of the Foundation in Clinical sciences? Do you still allow students to transfer to Leeds medicine? Also, if a student meets the requirements for a Pharmacy degree, can they transfer to Medicine after a year of doing the Pharmacy degree? Thank you

Hello

The transfer to medicine is not guaranteed. Upon successful completion of this course you can apply for Medicine at other institutes. Please note this course does not require you to complete a UCAT/BMAT test and you will need to do your own research if you wish to apply for Medicine and would be best to contact the institutes you are interested in to see if they would accept our Foundation Year, when you should do your UCAT/BMAT test and what grade requirements you must meet. Transfer is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of the institute you choose to study Medicine with.

Students are able to apply to other Medical schools whilst they are enrolled onto the foundation year, but it would best to confirm beforehand with the Medical schools you are interested in progressing onto, whether or not they would accept this foundation year as a route onto their programme. We do not require applicants to sit BMAT or UCAT as part of our admissions process however students wishing to apply to UK Medical Schools from the Foundation year will be required to sit BMAT or UCAT in accordance with the admissions requirements of other Universities.

I hope this helps, thanks
