Correct MSM Routine

What is the correct sequence for UK?
1. Mirror, Signal, Shoulder Check (which is logical to me)
2. Mirror, Shoulder Check, Signal

Many youtube videos suggest number 2, but I don't see any use of it.

The second question, is an "addon blind spot mirror" allowed in the practical test? or Do I have to shoulder check?
MSM means 'Mirror Signal and Manoeuvre'. Manoeuvre can be broken down into PSL 'Position Speed Look', but you won't hear about this until later on.
