I’m doing this to see if anyone else has applied for Maths W Data Science, seeing as it is a new course.

1 - Mathematics with Data Science
2 - 3A*A in Maths, FM, Eco and Geog (achieved)
3 - Course looks cool  Having some economics modules in a Maths degree without it relying too heavily on it is also v nice
4 - Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick, UCL (Maths)

I sent my application of 2 weeks ago and am a home student. I have 5 a-level predicted A*s in Further maths, maths, econ, chem and EPQ and at GCSE I had eight 9s, two 8s, one 7 and an A in FSMQ further maths.
Very sad :frown:

What are your other 4 UCAS choices? Cambridge? UCL? Warwick? Durham? :s-smilie:

Oxford, UCL, Durham and Bristol

Oxford - Economics & Management or PPE? :s-smilie:

UCL, Durham and Bristol Economics?

You are a strong applicant with 4A* predicted and in heavy weight subjects too.

So you really should get an offer from Oxford.

I am, with maths, further, econ, bio - a* predictions
i just received the additional information form for LSE and im applying maths with econ. If i fill in that im doing the TMUA does that mean they automatically will see my score? Also why do they ask about other admissions tests like MAT and STEP?

I thought it was to find out if you're applying for oxbridge because I had to fill it in even though I'm doing pure econ. They don't see your score straight away as you have to share it with them but if they know you're doing the test they could ask you to share your score.

im doing other admissions tests but should i mention them? it would give away where else im applying to and they might think that lse isnt my top choice

Welcome to the applicant discussion thread, for anyone applying for an undergraduate course for 2023 entry. Chat with other applicants, find out who's getting offers, get to know people who might be on your course.

Here's a template to get things going:
1 - What course are you applying for?
2 - What A-levels (or equivalent) are you taking?
3 - Why LSE?
4 - What other unis are you applying for?

Hub for all uni applicants' threads: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7253776

1 maths with econ
2 maths, further maths, econ, physics
3 rlly great uni and the course lines up rlly well with my interests
4 cambridge imperial ucl warwick
