What is the purpose of a master's degree?
Do you have to take one?

To get a better job afterwards and no, it isn't compulsory to do masters, but it's better to do. I advice you to first do a bachelor's degree and after that you can decide if you want to do another year for masters or not.
Hi @slickpanda987,

A masters is an extra qualification on top of a bachelors degree. Similar to how A-levels are a more advanced qualification after GCSE's. It gives you a deeper understanding of your chosen subject to pursue it further. There is no requirement to take a masters or go to university at all but it may be helpful for your career. I would advise to complete your bachelors first before deciding whether the masters would help you personally.
