University improves employability if you harness it.

i do believe university coupled to work & internships, plus using uni opportunities to enhance cv can lead to employability.

there are some really great universities and degrees that can help improve your access to certain professions or earning potential.

There is also a lot of university degrees that do very little. Plenty of graduates don’t use uni to add value and frankly lots of unis and degrees don’t add value by themselves. Unfortunately if you leave university and enter a low earning job which doesn’t really require a degree and the degree doesn’t increase development or promotion opportunities then all it has done is added a grad tax to your future earnings and been of little value. Whilst employability metrics are nice id look at the typical graduate destinations and salaries of graduates from the course you applied to not the percentage in employment within X number of months.
