Excuse me if my post seems a little prosaic - none of my family went to uni so this is truly a new experience.
Do I apply for accommodation for both my firm choice and my insurance choice, or just my firm?
I got an email from my insurance saying that the accommodation application was still open to me even though they were my insurance, but I don't know if there's much point if I am pretty settled on my firm choice.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Yh some unis only allow you to apply for accommodation even if they're your insurance choice, but most unis only open applications to those who've firmed it.
If your insurance choice is offering you to apply for it, I'd go for it tbh, might save you any hassle on results day (tho I hope you get into your firm choice!)

Most will only allow you to apply for accom at your Firm Uni.
Those who end up at their Insurance will usually only be able to apply for accom after Results Day - ie. only when they know they are actually going to that Uni.
