Am I asexual?

I’ve identified as lesbian for the last year, I’m attracted to women when I think about them but in person I never get turned on by them. I like kissing but it doesn’t turn me on, when girls flirt with me I just feel overwhelmed and don’t know how to respond even if I like them back. I have crushes and fantasise but it’s never the same irl. I struggle with dating apps because I tend to befriend girls rather than flirt…ahhh im so stuck, I want sex but I can’t seem to find anyone patient enough/ interested enough to see it through to when im ready/ attracted and to sleep with them.

Anyone else feel the same, not necessarily a lesbian issue lol

Have you heard of the term "demisexual"? If not, I would suggest doing some research into it. People who are demisexual tend to not experience sexual attraction until after they've formed a strong emotional connection with someone, which (in my opinion) looks as though it may align with what you have said in the second half of your post.
