Has anyone done a split 2 course in uni? the uni i want to go to offers 50/50 course on french and classical civilisation together and i was thinking of doing it but what are the positives and negatives of doing these types of courses?
I've not done one, but there are of course pros and cons: For: - You get a wider knowledge range, leaving you open to more in the future. - Useful if you're not sure what you're going to do afterwards Against: - when considered with other graduates with a specific subject, it might work against you as you're not as specialised in one area. That said, this can be remedied by doing a masters.
Hopefully others will come along with their personal experience, but from my knowledge these are the major factors that people consider. I hope that helps! Best of luck
I just hate being restricted to one thing and haveing to do it four hours everyday. However ive devoted my future to languages so maybe i shouldnt consider the split course AGH this is so hard
