Mango's relatively soft, so it's fine. Whether or not you're capable of eating something with a sore throat is based on the texture of the food rather than what is in it.
also im not sure whether i should have an orange fizzy drink as my throat hurts a bit or should i not drink it?

surely you are old enough to work out that you can start drinking it and stop if it hurts?!
