Employing a nanny whilst studying
Hello,
So I've been allocated £16,800 childcare allowances and I've seen you can employ an Ofsted registered nanny, has anyone managed to do this?
Information is limited, I've spoken to student finance and no one really has any info..
If i employ a nanny and use the PAYE system, I have to pay their usual employee expenses to HMRC etc and I can use nanny tax to help with this, and if they are self employed, none of that applies, but most will want (or need to) be an employed by me.
When I keep back their HMRC stuff, I don't understand how to do this as I release the money to them through the childcare account online when they request payment...
Has anyone managed to use the childcare grant to employ a nanny?
