How do I get into contact with dvla because every time I call they say no one is available. Because I need to get my check code for work. Is there a specific time I need to call them??

Only use Govt official websites, and there should never be a charge for this.

Type 'view or share your driving licence information' into your search engine and follow the instructions. You will be given a code that is full of letters & numbers (some capitals) This code can only be used once. So if the employer messes it up you will have to get them another one.

* You need your driving licence number (I'm guessing that might be a reason why you are ringing DVLA?)

* You need your National Insurance Number

If you have lost your driving licence number you can retrieve it with your National Insurance number on the Govt site - follow the instructions
