A level physics question
Hi, in this question, I understand that I have to extrapolate the exponential curve backwards and read off a value for y for a given M. But I don't understand why you have to read off the value for y at M = -0.7kg and not -0.35kg since the piston is inverted and the mass of P is -0.35kg.
I looked at the mark scheme and still don't understand this, please help!
