Is it disrespectful to wear a lengha to prom?

Hi I am custom making a prom dress for my senior year so I need start ordering now. So I have looked and looked I have fell in love with a lengha. I think it is so beautiful and I would love to wear one for prom but I don't wanna be disrespectful by wearing one.

if not, then maybe check with any asian friends you might have to see what they think and maybe even see if they would be willing to wear one with you? though honestly it shouldn't be a problem for you to wear one as long as you're wearing it because you appreciate its beauty as you say, and not because you intend to cause offense/disrespect or claim it as being part of your own culture when it isn't. cultural appreciation is fine, cultural appropriation is not.
