knocked over a wooden bollard outside my house

i’ve just knocked over a wooden post outside my house. it was raining and i stalled my car right in front of it, i then hit it as i was setting off and it’s just lying flat now on the ground. is it likely that this belongs to someone’s house? i don’t know what to do

Does the post have an obvious purpose? was there a sign on it, was it an old part of a fence? If it's outside your house you'll know better than us who's it would be.

Is is broken or just knocked over? I'd be inclined just to dig a small hold and put it back
