Moving out from childhood house

moving out of my childhood house and I have to sacrifice my perfect sized room with so much fitted storage for a much smaller room in the new house. How do I get over this bitter sweet feeling? I feel ungrateful but man I deffo took my old room for advantage and I’m gonna struggle with the amount of things I have to move

I suppose it depends on what that room represents. When I moved out of home and went to university, my new room was simply a place to sleep and study. My life was definitely based outside of that room with my newly made friends, activities and studies. A room is not an extension of you. It is just somewhere you are at that moment in time.
