Welsh Bacc through AS level

I need some help understanding Welsh Bacc due dates. As far as I can tell the whole subject is over the two years, and nothing is due in the first year as there is no AS mark. However my school is pushing me to complete the Welsh Bacc really soon.
Does Welsh Bacc have any marking due in AS level or could you technically just do it all in A2? I think it's similar to DT where you can just get it done at some point, and it's done, but over the two years instead of one. Some help in this would be very helpful!
