It's smarter to apply for the one you'd enjoy doing more I'd say. Look a the course content for both, see if there's anything on one that you would/wouldn't enjoy doing.
As someone who's doing a CompSci and Maths degree, I really enjoy the maths side, but I know quite a few people doing pure CompSci would could never get into the maths. So it all depends on what interests you.
