Hey @Sunyun
I can't speak for other unis but I know at Lancaster Uni Comp Sci they dont focus on maths a lot.
They teach us coding and other essentials but discreet mathematics is not a prime focus.
You can find out more about the requirements here : https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/computer-science-bsc-hons-g400/2024/#course-entry

Hope this helps

Hey @Sunyun 👋

University of Essex offers BSc computer science at our largest campus in Colchester, and A Level maths is not required.
https://www.essex.ac.uk/courses/UG00069/1/BSc-Computer-Science

Entry requirements are relatively flexible: at the moment they are transitioning from requiring BBB to also accepting BBC (112-120 UCAS points)

* 94% of our School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering graduates are in employment or further study (Graduate Outcomes 2023).
* We are top 30 in the UK for Computer Science in THE World University Rankings by Subject 2023.

Essex provides optional voluntary support classes in key skills such as maths, English, essay writing, CV and cover letter writing, interview prep, etc.
If you want to some short courses there's extra online modules you can work through such as data science: https://www.essex.ac.uk/short-courses/data-science
You can even learn a new language alongside your degree with our Languages for All programme: https://www.essex.ac.uk/life/for-all/languages-for-all

We have a fantastic careers team and placement programme. Many students choose to do a placement year in industry to increase their employability, networking, and to earn money while getting that valuable practical experience.

If you've got any questions about campus life at Essex, let me know!

Best wishes,
